Mobility training for athletes: muscle length under load, guided on one square metre

be2move trains the muscle at length while it works. 20 guided exercises, each side on its own, a standing warm-up in seconds, recovery in the rocking position. For the gym, the club, the practice and at home.

be2move is a mobility training device for athletes that guides the muscle into its full length and lets it work there, instead of holding it passively before competition. 20 exercises in three positions, each side on its own, all on one square metre. be2move is not a strength or cardio machine and no replacement for your sport-specific training, but the mobility station next to it.

Why is passive stretching before competition not enough?

You know the picture: before the start someone hangs in a stretch for minutes and then walks onto the track with soft legs. Passive holding gives you length for a short while, but no tension at that length. Yet that is exactly what you need when the muscle has to deliver force at the end of its range, in the swing, the sprint or the kick.

be2move works differently. The device guides the movement along a fixed path, you bring the muscle to length and hold the tension there. This is called active muscle length training: the muscle is moved along a guided path and strengthened at the same time, instead of just being stretched. Because the path is set, you cannot cheat, and the pelvis stays where it belongs. Which exercise targets which body region is shown on the page The device.

How do you train both sides deliberately?

Almost every sport has a hitting, throwing or standing side. One flank becomes strong and short, the other long and weak. On be2move you train each side on its own and see for yourself where the movement ends earlier. You then give the other side one more repetition. That is not a diagnosis, it is a training decision you make afresh every day. How rotation is built from the hips and trunk is explained in our article on mobility for golfers (German), and the principle applies to every rotational sport: Beweglichkeit für Golfer.

Three reasons

What does be2move do for your training?

Strength at length

Each of the 20 exercises guides the muscle into its length and lets it work there. The path holds the tension, you set the intensity.

Warm-up in seconds

Six standing exercises, in training kit or everyday clothes, switching between positions in seconds. No set-up, no mat, no waiting.

Low risk during the exercise

The device guides the path, you cannot overturn or buckle. That is why the risk of injury during the exercise itself is low, even at high intensity.

How does be2move fit into your training day?

The device has three positions, and each has its place in the training day. You do not have to rebuild your plan, be2move slots in before and after it. If you are looking for a mobility training device that does not look like a stretching station, this is your answer.

  • Before training: two or three standing exercises for the body regions your sport demands most.
  • After training: the ten lying exercises as the more intensive variant, such as Spagat, Multi, Kniestand, Glut or Back, once the body is warm.
  • Recovery: the rocking position to wind down, on rest days and between two sessions.
  • The same everywhere: in the gym, at the clubhouse, in the physiotherapy practice or at home, one square metre is enough.

Which exercise suits your sport?

Every sport loads certain body regions one-sidedly, and that is exactly where the muscle shortens over time. The table shows typical patterns and the be2move exercise that targets that body region. This is a training guide, not a diagnosis. Where exactly you are short, you notice on the device yourself.

SportTypically shortened body regionMatching be2move exercise

All 20 exercises with their body regions are on the exercise chart under Downloads. Our articles on hip flexors and the lateral trunk muscles are currently available in German only: Hüftbeuger dehnen, seitliche Rumpfmuskulatur dehnen.

Who is be2move not suitable for in sport?

be2move is not a strength machine and not a cardio machine. If you want to build maximum strength, explosive strength or endurance, you still need the barbell, the bike or the track. Nor does the device replace sport-specific training: technique, tactics and competitive edge come from where you have always got them. be2move is the mobility station next to that.

If you are injured or in ongoing rehabilitation, you use be2move only under the guidance of therapists, for example in a physiotherapy practice that works with the device. It is not a medical device and does not decide when you can train again. It is designed for body heights of 160 to 200 cm and up to 120 kg.

Where does be2move come from?

Developed by a physiotherapist with over 30 years of experience together with experts in myoreflex therapy. The approach comes from practical work with athletes and patients: muscles need a length at which they have strength, otherwise other body regions make up for the missing movement. Frequently asked questions

What makes be2move different from a stretching station in the gym?

A stretching station holds the muscle passively in one position. be2move guides the movement along a fixed path, you bring the muscle to its full length and hold the tension there yourself. This is called active muscle length training: the muscle is moved along a guided path and strengthened at the same time. And one device with 20 exercises covers the body regions that otherwise need several stations.

Can I use be2move right before competition?

Yes, the six standing exercises are suited to the warm-up, just a few repetitions each, in training kit or everyday clothes. Switching takes seconds. The ten lying exercises are more intensive and fit better after training or on days without competition. How much you do beforehand is something you decide with your coach; the device only sets the path.

How do I train my hitting or standing side and the other side?

On be2move you do every exercise one side at a time. You notice on the device itself which side ends its movement earlier, and you give that side one more repetition. This does not replace an examination, it is a training decision. If one side is clearly restricted and you do not know why, clear it with a doctor or therapist before you carry on training.

Is be2move safe if I train at high intensity?

The device guides the movement along a set path. You cannot overturn, buckle or let the pelvis escape, which is why the risk of injury during the exercise itself is low. You set the intensity through the tension you hold at length. be2move is a training device according to EN ISO 20957-1 for body heights of 160 to 200 cm and up to 120 kg.

Can I train on be2move with an injury?

Only under the guidance of therapists. be2move is not a medical device and does not decide when you can load again after an injury. Many physiotherapy practices work with the device and show you which exercises suit your situation. After that you can continue the exercises in the gym, at the club or at home. For acute complaints the rule is: get it checked first, then train.
